In reference to Dr. Asim Naqvi, I would very much like to express not only my gratitude but also my compliments to him as a GP. Dr Naqvi is unique in that he listens to the patient, considers the symptoms, reviews and researches the condition, talks further with the patient, then diagnoses the health issue. Dr Naqvi then, if necessary, offers medication and will follow up as promised, always remembering any previous conversations. I cannot express fully just how competent this GP is, how communicative, how understanding and how committed he is to his role. Dr Asim Naqvi made me feel like my symptoms mattered and that we could investigate them, where inthe past I have just been told things take time etc ect which does not help when you are trying to live a normal life and symptoms are stopping you. It has been affecting my mental health and when I left my appointment I already felt much better like I mattered and that I was listened to and understood. I am very grateful that I was able to have an appointment with this GP today and look forward to having a follow up appointment and hopefully find a path to feeling better!"
I am so pleased I had a consultation with Dr Naqvi today. I have on going conditions which has lead me to seeing different Drs to no avail and was feeling lost in the system. But Dr Naqvi took the time to listen, understanding and go out of his way to explain medications as well as next steps to take if the medication does not alleviate the symptoms. He also assisted in helping further understand another on going condition and offered positive, balanced and helpful advice. I went to the Drs not feeling like not much would change but left feeling so much better because he had taken the time to listen and understand. Thank you Dr Naqvi!

I would like to share my heartfelt thanks for this group and the vital efforts to raise awareness of pernicious anaemia. I had an appointment with Dr Asim Naqvi this week who I found via this group. Dr Naqvi is caring, highly knowledgeable and needs to be cloned! I have been unwell and undiagnosed for a very long time and sadly despite seeking help via the NHS and private healthcare in all sorts of ways I have worsened and nobody considered the possibility of B12 deficiency which I know is far too common. Dr Naqvi and this group have been a real breakthrough, led to diagnosis & treatment plan and I hope that I can finally make at least some improvement with my B12 symptoms. Dr Naqvi assessed my medical history and comprehensively explained how B12 deficiency relates to my multitude of symptoms.

Just wanted to put something positive on here following a consultation I recently had with Asim Naqvi. Having had my injections stopped and moving to a new GP surgery where they said no to reinstating them until I waited 4 months for a retest to see if it was b12 related, I knew I couldn’t wait and my symptoms were affecting me so much. I booked in to see Dr Asim where we went through everything, and he then wrote a report outling all of my symptoms with clinical research, and recommendations for treatment. After calling the surgery and asking them to review this report, they rang me back the next day and agreed to b12 injections every 8 weeks for life and have added this to my file. I know it shouldn’t have taken so long to be listened to but I am so grateful for Dr Asim help! I had my injection yesterday and the nurse said they can teach me how to do my own if I want and then sign me off once I have done one in front of them
Tonight I have had a consultation with Dr Asim Naqvi. I was actually dreading it thinking what if I am going mad and my symptoms were all in my head (that’s what being dismissed so often does, it makes you question yourself). But I need not have been anxious. Such a lovely man, I felt listened to and confident that he was so knowledgeable. I hope I’ll now be on the path to recovery with his help. Now to source supplies etc for ongoing. I will check the files etc, any tips gratefully received though. So grateful for this group………thank you everyone………

Honestly was so good and really worth it.
I had a chat with Heather after and she is brilliant, so helpful and hearing her story and that of her family members was quite something.

I can't tell you how fantastic this was, it all was so clearly presented and easy to follow.
I think everyone should attend this event if you've been injecting for a while.
